The following was shared by a Pastor and Leader of a Hope Centre in Kazakhstan
One day the phone rang and the vice-director of the school in our village asked me to come and see him. “There is an issue we must talk about”, he said.
As I walked to the school, I met him and a few other teachers who began thanking me for caring about the children of our village. I wondered and asked what the reason was for such an unexpected expression of gratitude.
The teachers told me this story:
Now the Pastor and Leader of the Hope Centre understood why the teachers wanted to express their deepest gratitude to the Church and Hope Centre for caring for children like Sergey, from broken families.
In fact, the Christmas package had saved the boy from suffering starvation.
