Who helped you to find God? - According to a survey among believers in Russia, 75% of the people questioned, gave the answer “with friends and people we know.” That means that three quarters of all people questioned came to faith through the personal testimony of Christians from their own environment!
We should not underestimate the efficiency of personal evangelism. Speaking in an open way about God with friends and relatives, being open for their problems and questions, praying for them and their specific needs - all of that can open their hearts for God.
Therefore, the purpose of the Independent Bible Correspondence School in Kazakstan, which is supported by SGA, is that through systematic Bible study it will help people to grow in faith, gain a good knowledge of the Bible and encourage them for missionary activities in their personal environment. Many students are already reaching out to their families, as shown in the following testimony. |

But in order to speak to others about Jesus, I have to know the Scriptures well. When I heard about the Bible Correspondence School from a sister, I thanked the Lord. This is what I had been praying for. I needed spiritual food, and God provided it for me! I am so thankful for the opportunity to study God’s Word. There are so many things that I discovered for myself. The life of Jesus Christ taught me to live like Him. The studies help me in the ministry and also in discussions with others. It also helped me in reaching out to my family. It gives me patience in the ministry, love and humbleness in life. I could gain deep knowledge of the Word of God and I got answers to many questions that I was interested in. God is revealing so much to me and shows the essence of things, and He shows me how to share the Gospel with non-believers. This way, my knowledge helps me to preach God’s Word to the lost.
I think the existence and development of the Correspondence Bible School is so necessary. I am so thankful to the people who support the school with donations. I wish them strength and patience. May the Lord bless them abundantly.
Please pray for my parents, that they will find God too and that they will not hinder me in the ministry. Please also pray for my children’s group, that the children after Sunday school would continue to serve in the church.“

Farisa comes from a Muslim family. In her testimony, she describes her way to Jesus: “I became converted in 2001 and I was baptized in 2006. I came to God through my brother who loved Jesus very much. I am a so-called Pamir-Tajik and therefore I could not be baptized in the beginning. My mother did not allow me to go to church, although she had not been against before. I had attended youth camps and youth meetings, but when my mother saw that I was serious about it, she became afraid that I would become a Christian. My family was in fear I could become like my brother. He was a true Christian and told them many times about Jesus Christ. He used to read them from the Bible and to tell them that only through Jesus Christ we can be saved. But that was their greatest fear. Everybody in our family prays to the fourth prophet Agakhan. Therefore, it was very difficult for me to tell my family that I believe in Jesus. But I prayed and so did my brothers and sisters. The result of these prayers you can see today. Our God is a wonderful God. I thank Him that He found me and that today I can tell everybody about it. |
