The widows’ project has exceeded our expectations and has fulfilled its objective of “causing the widow’s heart to sing for joy”. Bulgaria has many widows living in isolated areas struggling to survive the winter. Through this project God has provided the essentials for our sisters in the Lord. Several 100 widows have been able to rejoice in God’s provision in Bulgaria. This project is also operating in 6 other countries providing a life line to many who struggle on a daily basis. Thank you for making this possible. |

William Smylie was invited to speak at the 70th anniversary celebrations of Betel Baptist Church, Medias. He writes “SGA has a long history with this church, spanning 35 years. These included the turbulent years of communism when the church suffered much. It was moving to hear of the revival years in the 1970s and of the strong emphasis on the need to experience God’s outpouring again. Great appreciation was expressed for SGA’s involvement in their Church planting ministry and the post graduate studies of Pastor Gigi Dobrin. It was a privilege to minister to such a receptive open congregation who were hungry for spiritual things”. |

The Church in Poland is small, but God is working. Pastor Jacek Duda who is supported by SGA writes “I and my church in Lublin are mission minded. Our congregation is growing and we are thinking of extending our building because it is too small. We have got regular mission stations in a town named Lubartow and in a village named Leszkowice. The work is increasing in these mission stations and there are more people than in the past. We have a number of new mission points like in Czemierniki (40 miles in the north) and in Stalowa Wola (60 miles south). I’m also interested in middle east of Poland where I know a good number of people who are interested in the gospel. I would like to develop this ministry and establish new mission stations. |

The Baptist Church in Belgrade, Serbia, has finally begun the renovations of the church building after 30 years of waiting for permission. Many twists and turns have taken place in the whole process but through prayer the work is underway. The building as it was, did not have adequate facilities to carry on and expand the witness of the Gospel. The renovation and extension, though limited by the authorities and confines |

of space, will provide a much larger meeting hall with ancillary rooms to meet their needs.
The Church members are giving very sacrificially to this project but have a large shortfall from the amount needed. We in SGA want to support this project as it is important to have a vibrant witness in the Orthodox dominated society that exists in Serbia.

Since 1994 SGA has run 8 groups in Balti where 179 students have been trained for the work of the Gospel. We are grateful to God that the 9th one will begin in January. However alongside this a new program will begin. Students who have already graduated from the school are coming back for further study. Please pray that God will use this development to further equip his people for the spread of the Gospel. |
