I would like to begin by thanking God
for His grace because I am one of His co-workers.
The ministry I am doing is great, because
I am dealing with people’s souls which
are so valuable before God. The ministry
is not easy, but God’s power supports
me and helps me to continue.
I know that the One Who can understand
me most is Jesus Christ, who long before
me took the Gospel from place to place.
He is helping me also through you, because
you have not stopped praying for me and
supporting me. I know that if you had not
been doing this, I could not have done this
ministry.
The ministry I am doing in all these villages
is one of mission and pastoral work. Even
if there are hard times, when the faith
of many is tried, I know with all my heart
that the ones who are His will stay. All
three churches have been born through the
grace of God and He is the One who will
sustain them. Our duty is to stay faithful
in the ministry we have and to persevere
in it.
Even if there are fewer people today who
are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour, I pray that I will not be discouraged,
but will continue to work. At our last baptismal
service, one man from Tarnavioara
was baptized. He had been saved at the beginning
of 2006. The believers from Tarnavioara
are gathering twice a week (Wednesday and
Sunday). There is a Sunday school for children
on Sunday morning. The majority of the members
are older people. Some of the young people
from our church have moved to larger cities
and some have emigrated to foreign countries
because of the economical situation in our
country.
I am doing the same ministry in Alma
Vii. The believers here are gathering
twice a week. Also there is a children’s
Sunday school. During last summer two people
accepted Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour and have now been baptised in Bethel
Baptist Church in Medias. There have been
more people saying that they are willing
to follow Jesus, but at some point they
stop coming. Pray that the Lord may continue
to search their hearts and for the Word
to bring fruit in their lives.
In Seica Mica, the ministry
is harder and there are just a few believers.
We are having services only on Sunday morning.
Some of the believers moved away to Sibiu
(a larger city nearby). Please pray that
I would be strengthened in His service and
that others would be strengthened in their
faith. We ask God to bless the children’s
ministry in these churches and to challenge
the young generation, which is indifferent
to the Gospel.
