Fully committed to the task

Peter Deyneka
Group of church planters in northern Moldova.

The church planters above are typical of those in our countries of ministry who have been called of God, gone through the Mission Schools, and are now serving the Lord among their own peoples.

We may imagine that it’s easy for them to plant churches but in their evangelism they face opposition that displays itself in various ways … ancestral formal religion, ignorance of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is, suspicion of bringing a ‘new’ religion, hostility to the message that is sometimes very virulent, but through it all they are willing to bear the offence of the Cross so that their fellow countrymen might be won for Christ.

As we read the reports in this issue of Breakthrough let us not forget the cost to these men and their families as they seek to serve Christ in their society.
