SGA LEADERSHIP SUPPORT

In the past year a lot of resources were put into proclaiming the Gospel as the church sought to reach out into new areas. We used Orthodox holidays for a massive evangelistic thrust when we had open-air meetings, weather permitting, and meetings in a retirement home in the village thus contacting older people who had never been confronted with the claims of the Gospel and many were open to listen.

The Sunday School had a summer camp by the sea with Gospel teaching; the teenagers had a separate missionary camp consisting of twenty three who did evangelism amongst children in the local school which was open six days a week for them. Here the children had the opportunity to study the Word of God and to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our church at Krasnoznamenka joined with the church in Shiryaevo, 60 km away, for some special meetings. Together we held some fellowship meetings recalling what God had done in our areas over the past year and giving praise and thanks to Him. At some of the meetings, to which non-Christians had been invited, we had good opportunities to share what the Lord has done in our lives as believers in Him.

As a Fellowship we have offered to do some practical work in the community in an effort to make contact with unbelievers … to cut wood or trees, or branches that had dried up. It is not done for pay but if the owners offer some food we accept and while we eat the Gospel is shared. We also carried out some necessary renovations to the prayer house in Krasnoznamenka.

Thank you for praying for the church in Krasnoznamenka.
