Vehicles Needed For Eastern Europe?
Helping to provide vehicles to assist Christian workers

THE NEED
Over the years of SGA’s ministry in Eastern Europe, we have come to recognise that there are some workers in key areas of ministry and in strategic geographical locations, who have many commitments in the work of Mission, but the effectiveness of their ministry is being hindered because they have no vehicle. When it has been possible, SGA has helped to provide suitable vehicles to assist such workers.

THE EXAMPLE
Sergiu was a professed atheist and an international dance band leader before his conversion in 1987. Today he is involved in a church planting ministry in Romania and is supported by SGA under their Leadership Support Ministry.
He felt the call of God to begin preaching in the village of Saoaieu. For the next five years Sergiu walked the 20 km from his home to the village to preach the Gospel every weekend and then walked home again despite the weather conditions. Eventually he was able to afford to buy a bicycle for the journey. SGA has now been able to help provide a vehicle to assist Sergiu and today he in ministering in three village churches.

THE PROVISION
Many requests are made for help in providing vehicles for men like Sergiu and as a result SGA seeks to make resources available, as the “Vehicles For Eastern Europe” fund allows. In the past three years nine cars and one minibus have been supplied to meet ministry needs in Poland, Ukraine, Romania and Moldova.

THE POLICY
We provide vehicles which are suitable for the culture and purchase those which are durable and serviceable for the ministry, therefore providing practical help for years to come.

THE REQUESTS
There are always critical requests to provide vehicles today, to help national workers advance the Gospel.
