Strategic Kazakstan

Giving nationals in Central Asia the opportunity to study the Word of God

STRATEGIC FOR LOCATION
Kazakstan is the largest of the Central Asian Republics. The population is around seventeen million, with 37% being Russian. Kazakstan has a land mass the size of Western Europe and covers an area of 3,219,935 sq km. It borders Russia to the north, China to the east, Afghanistan and Iran to the south and has the Caspian Sea on its western border.

STRATEGIC FOR EVANGELISM
Kazakstan holds the key to the evangelization of the whole of Central Asia today. It still has a democratic government and religious freedom. It is also an ideal location for training nationals from the surrounding Republics of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan where Islam is dominant. Many students already carry on a vital witness among their own peoples in these lands. Over the past years it has been a privilege to see hundreds of students pass through the Bible Institute and now to see them taking the Gospel into their own areas.

STRATEGIC FOR MINISTRY
Slavic Gospel Association began its ministry in 2000, having been invited to be involved in the training of nationals in the Bible Institute for All Nations in Almaty. We are confident that the Lord guided us to Kazakstan, as a very strategic hub for the teaching and training of nationals for work in Central Asia. This has proved to be a very important expansion of our ministry.

SGA’s ministry in Kazakstan has expanded further to include several other areas of ministry:

  • We have had a large input into the extension of the Christian orphanage in the town of Saran, which now has accommodation for sixty-two children and young people. The Christian ethos of this work is touching many young lives for Christ.

  • Our Widow’s Project is meeting a real need in the lives of many. Through distribution opportunities to those who are being helped, pastors have been able to share the Gospel with unsaved widows.

  • SGA is involved in the International Correspondence Bible School in Central Asia, which has 1,260 students engaged in various courses in Kazakstan alone. Those studying include retired people, students, prisoners, unemployed people, housewives, soldiers, pastors, deacons and others. Through these courses souls have been saved every year, as they have read and studied the Bible, and believers have been helped in their walk with the Lord.

STRATEGIC FOR SUPPORT

  • We in SGA face an unfinished task in Kazakstan, which is one of the most strategic areas of the world.

  • We ask for your prayerful and practical support for our ministries in Kazakstan.

  • We particularly highlight the areas of Biblical Leadership Training and the International Correspondence Bible School for your support.

Through your support you could give nationals in Central Asia the opportunity to study the Word of God. They in turn would be able to reach all the peoples of the Central Asian Republics with the Gospel.

Your support is urgently needed – TODAY!

Please help us today to give nationals in Central Asia the opportunity to study the Word of God
