Sponsor A Bible Student in Central Asia
TEACHING LOCAL CHURCH WORKERS TO BE TEACHERS
IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES.
The Independent Bible Correspondence
School was established in Kazakstan in 1991
and works with Central Asian students from
Kazakstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan
and Tajikistan through distance learning.
The course materials used are based on literature
which was made available by Moody Bible
Institute, Chicago, for translation and
adaption.
Today the IBCS has established offices
in each of the Republics and staff have
been trained at Almaty to work as instructors.
These dedicated workers check the work and
maintain regular correspondence with each
individual student. It is vital for a good
relationship to be cultivated as this may
often be the only contact the student has
with other believers who can help develop
their personal gifts for ministry.
God has abundantly blessed the last twelve
years of ministry of the Correspondence
Bible School and Slavic Gospel Association
is now delighted to be able to play a part
in helping to sponsor students who seek
to complete the five courses necessary to
fulfil the programme and equip them for
serving the church in their local communities
in Central Asia.
In 2002 a total of 26,736 work papers from
686 students were checked by instructors
throughout Central Asia and as a result
of completing the course some have become
preachers, some have dedicated themselves
to Sunday School ministry and others have
become missionaries.
The Correspondence School also offers courses
for non-believers and for new believers,
as well as the course for those who want
to be equipped for ministry.
An example of the teaching programme
for ministry includes the following:
- The Life of Christ
- Genesis
- Gospel of John
- 1 and 2 Thessalonians
- Romans
- Old Testament Survey
- New Testament Survey
- Bible Doctrines
- Life of Holiness
- God’s Will and God’s Plan
for Your Life
Will you help us to play a part
in equipping the Church in Central Asia
by sponsoring some of the ministry students
so that they may be able to complete the
five courses of study?
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The complete programme, including all the
materials needed and the supervision by
the trained instructors, costs £60
for each student. £12 covers the cost
of one of the five courses from the programme.
