Partners In Ministry
Through the Leadership Support Ministry
- helping national Christians in Eastern
Europe who are called and equipped by God.
THE PLACE
Alexey Kosin is seeking to plant a new church
in the village of Krasnoznamenka, Ukraine.
He went there from his home church in Odessa
eighteen months ago and started from scratch,
with no Christians in the village.
A church worker had carried out some outreach
there six years previously but had left
because of the lack of response from the
people. Today the situation is very different,
with people being saved and baptized. It
is evident that others are under conviction
of sin and not far from the Kingdom of God.
The little church building is an old house
which has been renovated and nestles in
the middle of the village.
When visiting Alexey, SGA staff arrived
in the midst of a blizzard to find a room
filled with thirty people who had weathered
the winter conditions to be in church on
a Saturday morning. The service lasted for
three hours and even then nobody wanted
to leave.
THE PERSON
- Alexey, a young dental technician,
is married to Natasha and has two daughters
and one son. The village of Krasnoznamenka
is about 70 km from Odessa.
- He is hoping to move there permanently
with his family, but this will be a big
change from the relative comfort of the
city.
- Initially he would like to use his dental
expertise to help the people and then
through this, reach them with the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.
- There are two children’s meetings
each week and Ena, a young girl from Moldova,
is a great help to him in this ministry.
- Alexey has commenced an evangelistic
ministry in another village 5 km away,
where ten interested people are coming
regularly to hear the Gospel. He is helped
in the work by a young man named Igor.

THE PARTNERSHIP
Your prayerful and financial investment
into the lives of young men like Alexey,
will enable you to play a part in planting
Bible preaching Churches in towns and villages
across Eastern Europe that have yet to hear
the Gospel. Many are willing to forsake
the confort of a home church and a better
quality of life, to go and live in the rural
areas, among those who need to hear the
Good News.
THE PLAN
- SGA seeks to encourage and help national
believers engage in evangelism and take
today’s unlimited opportunities
to see people won for Christ.
- Almost 50 nationals in Eastern Europe
are helped from SGA’s Leadership
Support Fund.
- Each one needs an average of £25
per week to assist them in their ministry.
- We seek to encourage Churches and individuals
to sponsor young men like Alexey. If you
would like further details please contact
the SGA Office.
If we are to support national
