A Hunger For God's Word

The Rainbow Bible Centre is a registered Christian organisation in the Republic of Macedonia and is the leading publisher and distributor of Christian literature there.

This includes evangelistic Bible courses which are aimed at unchurched individuals and new church visitors. It works in close cooperation and partnership with the Good News Baptist Church in Skopje. During the past decade they have published more than forty books, totalling over 150,000 copies, and most of these have already been distributed among the Macedonian people.

SGA has played a vital role in this literature ministry in Macedonia, where there has been an ongoing close partnership, which continues to grow. They have fully or partially sponsored many of the books, booklets and Bible Course materials.
Among the numerous literature projects fully sponsored by SGA, three have been making a great and long-lasting impact on the Gospel ministry in Macedonia.

1. With funds provided by SGA, the New Testament in a contemporary Macedonian language was translated and 18,000 copies were published. Many nationals have said that when reading this edition, they could clearly understand the Word of God for the first time in their lives. “We find it hard to express in words just how essential this completed project has been, in preaching and teaching the Word of God among the Macedonian people.” explained Ivan Grozdanov.

2. Also fully sponsored by SGA is the production of an introductory and evangelistically oriented Bible Course entitled, "The Twelve Pillars of the Christian Faith." This is a set of twelve booklets covering twelve essential Bible topics. Since it was first introduced in the autumn of 2002, more than one hundred and fifty individuals have attended the course of study.

As a result of this specific evangelistic ministry, the Good News Baptist Church alone has gained about thirty new converts. Other churches in the country are also starting to introduce the course and it continues to be a blessing.

3. Another example of an effective literature project fully sponsored by SGA is a beautiful apologetic book entitled "The Universe and Life: By Chance or by Design?" which has been compiled from John Blanchard's book, "Does God Believe in Atheists?" Over 5,000 copies have already been given away to students and faculty at the University in Skopje, as a special project to influence their thinking about creation versus evolution and other non-biblical theories.

“We trust this book will help the readers believe in the God of the Bible and thus bring them closer to salvation.” said Ivan.

“We want to express our deepest, whole-hearted appreciation to SGA and their supporters for providing the necessary funds for these projects. We thank them too for the encouragement we have received and for remaining a reliable, long-time faithful partner in the spreading of the Gospel and the salvation of precious souls in the Republic of Macedonia.”

SGA also continues to support the work of Christian literature in other East European countries - Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Serbia. Our current involvement includes the translation of a number of key books and commentaries, support for translators who seek to carry out this ministry, the provision of libraries for Bible students, the reprinting of books already sold out and the printing of new study and evangelistic literature to meet the urgent need that exists.

We need your continued support so that many national workers in Eastern Europe can be helped to preach and teach the Scriptures to their own people.
